Default Ebay buyer threating to make a claim about something they bought 2.5 months ago

Buyer is claiming the item isn't working 2.5 months after ordering. My policy is 30 days to return as ebays rules. I know they don't stand a chance on ebay but paypal give longer.

Clearly its worked or they would have informed me a lot sooner and they have broke it themselves. Do i have a leg to stand on if they open a case with paypal?

@OP, it's a rough situation - how much of a loss will you take with the return?

around £150 .. how long do they have paypals protection for? 6 Months? What you think? They claim its never worked .. but its took them this long to contact me???

Had this a couple of times lately but the other 2 were 8+ months after sale so didn't entertain them at all.

Bit daft as well since we all know many sellers are on anon accounts while buyers are having items delivered in their name to their own address ... good luck
