Is there a "safe" amount of money to make on Ebay?

I started off by selling low value items, now some items are selling at £70+ per item, i'm just wondering if this is perhaps a red flag for Ebay or Paypal? I probably make about £250+ a week, nothing crazy.

Depends on how long you have been selling. If it's a fair amount of time since you started to sell, then I'd say £250 per week is very conservative.
For that amount of money per item, I'd always have at least £150 in the account for any cases that may arise. A small pain but that's the trade-off for selling semi-high ticket items

True, also take it slow - don’t let the “on hold” payments build up too much - I’d say it’s a warning light when 6+ payments are hold at one time, anything more coming in could cause a limitation

I stay under the VAT threshold per stealth account, that seems to keep them going, as long as the obvious is maintained (customer service/satisfaction etc.)

I've been banned for selling 1-2 items worth 20gbp per week and I havent been banned for selling for 2k gbp daily on an almost fresh account. It is very random
