Verifying seller account by phone (EBAY and PayPal)
Hi people, I know this may have been asked before, but I do have a small question and I am going to keep it simple. I have purchased a geographical number from voipfone.co.uk and toped my account with £5 and set the divert to my mobile number.
If I use the new landline number to verify my account will eBay/PayPal find out that the call is being diverted or is it safe to verify the account in such way? Thanks

I don't know if that company's phone numbers specifically work with eBay or Paypal, but in general using this type of method for phone verification is no problem.
Still no Paypal phone verification working number? Would have hoped something concrete had come up by now, but i am not a paying member here, so might be something in the members section.
BTW: I was on holiday for a month, back now though, worked out well, gave my new account time to fester for a while, so all is good with it now.
yes diverting to a landline (better than not mobile) is fine for ebay seller account, voip should work,
if you need to do location verification, voip sometimes fails, something to do with voip numbers sometimes not being actual geographical matches to location. You could try a virtual number that sits on your landline (not voip) and make sure it matches well
can i now go to paypal and change the number given there to a new number (actual number this time) and then do it again, or has the failure messed everything up? :(
usually if the call fails then it says its sending code by letter, but if you didnt get this message and it allows you to replace it then try again...
I saw on forum few times, if you catch it quick after failure and call paypal and say something like you didnt enter a wrong digit in or some other excuse, you get another chance, not sure if they reset it for you or what.....those forumers were probably just luckly though, I dont think its pp policy to allow that
it actually says confirm location, when i click it then i get a new page saying paypal will call you enter the xxxx digits and then we will send you an email, any idea?
