Education is a marvellous thing and these forums supply a lot. I know there are many very clever people (far cleverer than me) who contribute to these forums so I would like, if I may, to run something past you all.

If you buy a UK limited company, rent a registered address, act as a director to get a Barc business account open, then using the net change the directors address at company house, would that give you a completely clean set of information to enable you to set up a stealth on PP and Feebay.

The bank account would give you all you need to verify on both.

It sounds simple but am I missing something?

Yes sounds simple and it is.
But you will have to pay accountant fees for every ltd company and will still need to provide docs for ID to paypal. So they will eventually need acopy of your passport.

I think.....?

why go to them lengths, why not just call into you local Barclay branch and say you want to open a business account as a sole trader, i did it, i made up an engineering company made a letter head got someone to make out a cheque for £2500 to pay in, but if you have less it wont matter, it does cost though to have a Barclay business account, about £20 per month, after 12 months i then transferred my account to Santander, free business banking and used the account to set up a new ebay/paypal account, if you need more help please pm me.

New terms for me....how about self employement....i believe it is the same thing as sole trader... But they will want to know what kind of business/activity i will do...
I might open a acct at HSBC...they offer free banking for 18 months.
Is HSBC ok for PP ?

I'm still learning but I've realised one thing - spread yourself far and wide. The less they can see or think they can see the better off you are. Let's face it the Banks do nothing to deserve your loyalty.

I had lift off today on exactly this kind of 'arrangement' and 10 minutes ago I made my first sale.

So far it's all quiet on the Western Front.
