hi,

suspended from ebay but having ip issues with potential new account.

i am on bt broadband and have a bt router with built in modem so cannot change ip.

only option is the proxy route, but having trialled a couple there are some issues.

proxy ip's are fixed so if a problem and suspended again subscription paid, but will be worthless.

also proxy do not enable all sites to work correctly and i have had serious problems on my hotmail pages using the proxy ip.

it would be great if other members who have successully set up new accounts after being suspended could launch home visits to fellow members who are not so system literate.

i for one would appreciate.

Are you sure that BT doesn't provides you the dynamic IP? Resetting the HUB should fix the problem.
'With BT a fixed IP address is only available on the BT Business Broadband product and costs £5 per month on top of the business broadband cost.'
I believe you can reset the IP address easily...

BT Home hub is dynamic

Phone your ISP (BT) and they will definitely tell you whether your IP is static or dynamic.

If you are phone shy, reset all your routing/modem devices and check your IP address again.
