Try track any of the items you have sent Airsure on the UK and UK sites, and see what it says?

Plus you look at any payment methods terms it needs to be tracked to the person with a signature. So either way you risked your money

As above, they are only usually tracked untill they reach the destination country after that they are in no mans land untill they reach the buyer and you get a signature

You have a stealth account and now you have a buyer claiming the item isn't received. You have no proof of shipping the item.

Then to make things worse, both you and the buyer are contacting E-Bay and PP. What makes you think they won't shut down this account with no proof of delivery or ask for ID's or check the public records and see if the name on the account even exist?

And I have no idea why you are worried about E-Bay and PP trying to collect money. If you don't voluntarily pay they will then send out threatening letters to a alias, stating their credit will be ruined if they don't pay.

Just tell E-Bay, PP and the buyer to F-Off and you'll feel much better.

I was wondering the same as you Road Kill. Just seems a lot of trouble for an account that depending on how much they sell could be shut down with one more buyer complaint for the next year or so.

I just stopped selling overseas.

The alternatives for those of us that do not sell large amounts in the UK are zero, due to the prices they charge. Or you just take it on the chin and hope the masses do not realize. But more and more of them are.

If you sell large amounts, then you can get some good deals with business post from most companies.

What you got as dispatch time. I moved mine up to ten days. Possibly loosing a couple of sales but if anyone tires to open a not received complaint then ebay just tell them it is too early so go talk to the seller and I get a message telling me they tried to open one.

Maybe worth trying for your next account.

It seems a lot of people form a emotional attachment to their stealth accounts. The OP is talking about their rights like the alias they created is a real person.

this is ridiculous talk, why if YOU are scammed should you abandon account, heck yes i am attached to my accounts, I would rather take a financial hit and learn a lesson than abandon an account that will make more money in future. By all means take precautions, in case it goes down anyway, eg dont keep much in paypal and sell under radar for a while....I dont think the money the OP is talking about is worth jumping ship....

Yeah, no point abandoning eBay accounts over something that could happen to any account at any time, including the new one you decide to open.

What if his circumstances at this point in time make it difficult to get another bank account & start again? There's a fine line with what to do and what to say.

If their position is that precarious, they should just take the hit and stay off the radar by not fighting the customer. It's not worth the risk if this is the only account they can get . If the OP has no proof of delivery, what do you think the chances are of winning the fight anyway?

So either way I would just walk away from the battle, but that's just what I would do. Others can cheer the OP on if they want to just as well.

I did mean walk away from the account or at least stop using it until that mark has gone, as if they only sell small amounts, then all that account will need is one more buyer complaint and they will be toast in any case.

The buyer complaints stay as a mark on your account for a lot longer than the DSR marks, and for those that only sell a few items, that is a bad place to be, as all it takes is one more idiot.

All it takes is one buyer, if they know what their doing.

For me, keeping buyers happy is part of my stealth techniques.

No idea, I did not keep a track of the last one I got but I think it is around a year.

The one I got, I got the message off ebay saying I know you are dealing with your customer but they have opened a buyer complaint. and I still get a hit for it.

And on ebay for some reason buyers seem to use it a lot.

Had one that I agreed a return and they said they would go through ebay, to keep it official. I explained to them that it was damaging to my account and they responded it was worth a try.

Had another that said I did not open a complaint I was just asking ebay what I should do before contacting you.

So I still say they should just dump this account for a time at least.

Put it to bed for a while - is that what you mean? - let it get up when all the trouble has gone - sounds like a plan!
