Default not being silly here but....

ok, before i start, apologies if im doing something wrong here...i invariably get errant messages from long-timers on here saying im asking too many questions for a youngster!

anyway, im confused...on the first page of this website, there is a list of how to open an ebay and paypal account by aspkin.
on there he says NOT to link your new ebay account to your new paypal account. ok, thats fine.

but elsewhere, ive read that you SHOULD link your new ebay and papal accnts...

so can anyone say which is correct pls, and do we have a choice if we want to link them up or not?
im talking from the point of having just a buying ebay account, not a sellers one.

Users of paypal in the USA ideally do not need to link ebay/paypal. (except for high risk categories).

UKers have different requirements. A verified paypal is needed to sell. It is reasonable then to link them imo.

In case you change to selling later, I would recommend linking them now. That way you will establish a working history thro' buying.

fine! thats great.

at least now i know why the difference exists.
yes, so as i said, i'll be opening a stealth accnt for the purpose of buying only.
later on, as you say, imay revert to selling, but i have another selling accnt as it is already....

many tnks for the clarification anyway, greenbean!
