id love BT but the boss wont let me have a bt cable fixed to the roof apex. Im managing with virgin which is underground. Local parish council have just blocked a mobile phone mast that would give me great access with a dongle. sob sob

it takes too long sometimes for the ip to change, and even when you switch the router off and on it still gives you the same,it still works but there are better options out there

dongles work great, any of the mobile phone providers provide them and i heard they are all pretty decent

have a look here Pay-As-You-Go Mobile Broadband Deals | PAYG Mobile Internet Genie

plenty of pay as you go or contacts to choose from

bt broadband is great for switching ip address also

I wouldn't give you a cast iron guarantee, but it's almost certain that you'll get a new IP when disconnecting/reconnecting.

log onto your computer

make sure you are connected to the internet via the tmobile dongle

go here IP Burger - What is my IP Address? Find Your IP Address!

check your ip address and note it

then log off...turn the dongle off

then log back on and check again

sometimes you may get same ip so always check

In regards to stealth and multiple ip addresses bt is unbeatable.

Only provider i know you can have more than one i.p at once.

for example, 4 laptops all connected at the same time with different i.p's

after working broadband tech support for 5 years (2004-2009), I think I might know what an IP address is. you're saying you can get 4 different IPs from 1 connection. i'm saying that's not possible unless you're on BT Business BB. Unless things have changed dramatically.

Derby Dave are you in Derby ? I'm in Notts
