Default Current Accounts vs. Savers for PP Deposits

Got a few deposits from PP heading towards the banks.

One is a esaver and one is a current account.

Both DD Mandates have a passable personal name.

Am I correct in thinking that the esaver account deposits will be OK to enter on PP, but then speed is the essence on removing the bank before PP find out it was an esaver?

I'm interested in investigating what was said too... I will get round to it soon. But in reply to your question I get the following message if it is left attached:

On , we attempted to transfer from your bank account, ending in ****. This transfer was returned by your bank on 17 Sep 2011 for the reason below:

This is an invalid bank account number.

As a result, this bank account has been disabled from your PayPal account. Please contact your bank for more information or add a new bank account. Please do not contact PayPal because this is entirely an issue between the account holder and their bank.
Yours sincerely,
PP

I submitted the info to PP on the 16th, then got the above message from them on the 17th. I forget the exact times unfortunately - but there seems to be a bit of time before they will try for the DD.

PP is still verified too.

thats right, speed is of the essence.

when the micros hit the bank it is usally a matter of time before the account is removed from PP (be it hours or months) so if your not fast enough they can be removed before you even add the micro's so you need to watch your bnk account online and add the micro's as soon as you see them.

only had 1 saver removed straight away, I re-added by contacting customer support and got deposits re-sent and successful verified, still attached.

All other savers, no probs with deposit, never removed and still attached, I did not rush, maybe few days after the deposits hit....In my experience savers can be added without issues...in fact I had one verification that I forgot about and looked on statement a month later saw the 2 penny amounts and added the deposits..........

Then, for the conservative, dont attract attention by paypal ,stay under the radar where possible paypal users, current accounts are sound too

A high % of people are able to get basic current accounts.

Whatever gets your money to you with the LEAST amount of worry should be the aim

I have thanked everyone for their comments.

If PP pay the micros in the morning at about 7am, then at 7:01 am, I will add them!!!

If that is not quick enough for PP, then I am screwed...

This technique reminds me a bit of a VBA for us UK users.

PP is still verified too.

So in this case add another savers but do not send the micors (leave unconfirmed) . it will stay attached for good that way also.

Got it done a few days ago!

My 1st time using this technique fully. Imakemoney, I was too quick for them!

Tiz, am I right in thinking that the same removed saver can be used again on the same PP for withdrawl in say a few weeks time?

Thanks

yes.

When your ready to withdraw, goto withdraw option as normal and add it there, it will ask you to add bnk account before you can withdraw.

Awesome thread!!

Very helpful!

Can anyone confirm the following: Once the deposits are into the Saver Account and confirmed with PP, to keep the PP long standing and not raise flags should/could you:

1: Remove the Saver from PP and carry on receiving money to PP to spend (pay suppliers etc.)

2: Remove the Saver and re-add the same one later to withdraw money to.

3: Remove the Saver and Re-add later but do not withdraw money to it, and spend money with money received to PP (pay suppliers etc.)

Any help would be much appreciated with this, I have a few accounts which I am ready to progress and add bank accounts and would like to try this new Saver Account technique.

Cheers

Glad you liked it!

I would not bother with step 3 from your list. Steps 1 and 2 are good though.

The technique has already made me hundreds extra, and given time that will turn into thousands.

Willkeelham, you must get to the bank online early, around about 7am to get the micros added to PP, then perform the technique. Time is the essence.

Can you confirm that once the saver has been removed confirmed and removed you can still receive money from ebay sales to spend.

"you must get to the bank online early, around about 7am to get the micros added to PP, then perform the technique. "

By this do you mean check online banking around 7am to check micro deposit amounts and add to PP, once added remove the saver?

Cheers again

Yep. You can still receive money from EB sales and correct about the 7am micros add then remove technique. Wait a couple of days or so, then re-add saver and you are good to go.
