Competition under cutting you perhaps? or just less damand.

Sales are up down for me ain't as steady as it used to be.

Best sale days i have our when i don't even expect sales for that day and boom hit with several orders at once.

i always find that theres people selling cheaper, i try to rise above it and keep my prices steady,

was recently looking at some sales figures from 2006 and item i used to sell 100 of a month for £24.99 plus £8.95 shipping now sell about 15 of per month for £9.99 + £3,45

bad times

I've had a quiet 24 hours, probably due to the Easter Weekend and no postal deliveries tomorrow but sales generally this week and indeed the last couple of weeks have been exceptionally good for me.

Sales were very slow yesterday

they_screwed_me_too - im hitting the same sort of volume roughly about 100£ a day over 3 accounts so not as much as you at the mo and not hitting that over this week. Today, saying that, has picked up this afternoon.

end of March was disgusting! dont even want to look at my sales figures!

Payday has a massive impact on mine.

I agree I used to be able to sell my items for 14.99 + FREE p&P now were going down to 11.99 FREE P&P.. :(

Every time there is a holiday weekend coming up my sales drop off the face of the map. All in all, however, the last 6 months have been much better than the year prior to that.

eBay/Amazon are the most competitive markets in the world, because anyone from anywhere can list there. It is the nature of the beast.

I know a woman who put her kids through college selling bottled water. Every year during the summer when there was a parade, she would have 3 or 4 cars parked at strategic locations on closeby side streets to the parade route. The trunks and back seats were filled with bottled water packed in ice.

She had a piicnic cooler on wheels which she would fill from those cars. Then, she would walk the parade route selling the bottled water while her kids toted the cooler behind her. People snapped them up, even at $3 per bottle. When it is 90 degrees outside and you are dying of thirst, suddenly that does not seem like too much to pay for water.

So, you CAN find ways to beat the competition, but you have to find a place where the people are, and your competitiors are not. Of course, that is much easier said than done.

Personally, I think what she taught her kids with this is much more valuable than ANYTHING they could learn in college.
