Just Checking..Communication DSR

If a buyer purchases an item from me, and on the payment page they have the option to send a note to the seller, Does this count as communication?
Because i have a LOT of buyers who just write 'THANK YOU' in the notes.

And i dont want them to be able to give me a low score on communication simply because the contacted me by saying THANK YOU

Hopefully it only works if they use ebay messages.

I'm pretty sure it's just the E/B message system.
