I'm using Co-op saver accounts with my stealths. You can open them online and they normally only take 10 days to open

All very true. Let me be an example to everyone. Don't just go opening a ****load of bank accounts and thinking it'll be OK. Some poeple get away with it, some don't. The best advice I've seen given here is: open bank accounts when you actually need them.

as above, opening and closing accounts with the same bank all the is not good try not to stick to the same banks all the time.

It helps if you try and understand, what banks check what when you apply

also it helps to try and understand the process, for example it helps to know which banks check first and last names (Lloyd's) which banks check only last names (santander) and which banks only check account number and sort code (no names) when money is been transfered.

I wouldn't make a habit of always applying for current accounts as don't forget these type of accounts are the ones that do the credit check. Try searching for an account that only do a basic ID search or look at some type of savers.

123 account is good though

Quick question to all of those who recommended NatWest. Do their saver accounts work in the same way as their current/basic or should these be avoided? I've opened one purely as a saver anyway, but since it's given a new account number and sort code thought I would ask! Thanks in advance

I have used lots of saver accounts from Natwest and never had any problems with verification or had any removed.

People have recommended Halifax and The Bank of Scotland on this thread but they are owned by Lloyds which is specifically not recommended. Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this as I bank with The Bank of Scotland.

Never an issue because I stopped using both in early 2006.

They allowed paypal to 'touch' my funds despite having a written cancellation of the DD mandate at two different branches (two paypals at different banks were limited).

These days, I notice they tend to be lower on the list.

Indeed.

As others ask, will be worthwhile mentioning not to use them.

I'm having trouble re adding halifax savers when it's time to withdraw from PayPal. This is currently the case on two 100% stealth paypals. Both banks have already been confirmed, and removed.
Anyone having any similar issues? The message I get says "we're sorry, but we weren't able to confirm your identity and can't let you link a bank account at this time".

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/uk-ebay...tml#post475280 - same post

If pp just wants a vcc, then seller's vcc from here should be fine here. Or do they want proof of cc e.g. statement?
