Moral Dilemma

Sold an ipod that i got for free recently.
I stated in the auction i would give away free screen protector and a free set of earphones.

Yesterday the winning bidder said the earphones dont work and has opened a case after i told her they were free and should invest in a decent set of earphones.

She wants a replacement set of earphones now.

What do you suggest I do?

Offer a couple of quid compensation or buy a cheap set and send them to the buyer.

If you mentioned the earphones in the listing they are not free and constitute part of the item you are selling. They would only be classed as free if there is no mention in the listing about them. In which case buyer will not have a leg to stand on. However you will of course face the usual threat of low DSRs and a negative over something that will take a few quid to sort.

Send them a link to a similar pair on ebay. Say you would buy them but it would take longer for them to receive it. Send them the $ for the cost of the earphones and a few extra dollars so they can use expedited shipping. Usually works for me
