Selling limits not raised when verified?

hi all,

hope you guys can help, just verified my paypal this morning (bank acc) and then after an hour or some linked the ebay/paypal. but i am still on 10 items/month

the ebay is a business account, does it normally take a day or two for paypal/ebay to ''sync'' so that ebay can see the verified paypal account?

thanks
chas

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think I recall that you have to wait 90 days or something until they will put your limit up to 100 items per month.

you could always ask them or click on the increase selling limits link (if its still there).

a lot of people dont like to contact Ebay as it can get your account scrutinised but its best to just get on with selling a few items and be patient, that way they can see you are a trustworthy seller who isnt out to scam people.

I know its frustrating only being able to sell 10 measly items for a month but hey, Ebay / Paypal are the kings of frustration!

I had this same problem at the start of this year and I waited, kept my head down and sure enough my limits were increased. Good Luck!

Click under Selling, then where the box is with your limits, there will be a button "Increase Selling limits". You should get increased to 25 items per month.

No more auto increases unless you call them.

Good luck.

hey im in the same boat.

guess ebay are getting tougher by the year with all their policies rules agh.

im going to wait 90 days just dont bother with requesting higher limit because new sellers dont get much or they end up suspending.

Is worth calling imo , i recently did this and had my limit raised from 25 items to 400 per month

For users who have the ID & the confidence, yes it can work.

Otherwise it might be more prudent to avoid contact.

Hi guys even if it's a business account? The items I sell I have been asked to sell per meter so the allowance of 10/month isn't good lol

When you call what do they ask? I'll check the sell dashboard to see if there's anything there also

Is very true, i lost my best account several months back due to being impaitient and calling up, they then linked the account to one of my old blocked ones(before i discovered this forum)

hi can any one help me please just open a ebay account and its coming up to 90 days does any one know how many feed back i should have for them to increase my selling or does it just go on the 3 months waiting time

dburnside 10-26-2012 04:25 AM

I haven't used the request higher limit does it do it automatically or is it passed to eBay staff to raise the limit?

I'm trying something different with one account by trying to reach 100 fb with all 5 dsrs an will go straight into top rated seller category when limit is lifted, on 28 ATM so abit to go :)

Just had a limit raise , it is now 1000 items or £2000 and this is on a new account, i got accounts a year or over with less items I am able to sell , although the amount is higher.

How do you get higher limits? Just call, answer their ID questions (all stealth off course) and if you pass you get higher limits?

Thx
J.

Best advice is do not phone in

Sell to your limits and maintain high selling standards and your limits will rise. Increases have been getting handed out like confetti recently so your chances are good.

JamesNorth101 07-01-2013 03:39 AM

Don't ring them.

For the first increase, click the increase my allowance button in EB and this will increase it to 25 item per month so long as you have a confirmed PayPal

After that increase, just let your account increase organicly. Sell to the max each month, increase feedback and maintain high DSR and your limits will automatically be increased from time to time. There is not stead fast rule as to when each increase will come, that is down to the eBay wizards, but eventually they will come.

If you need to sell more in the mean time, create another stealth account

Asking the same question 64 times is OTT ;)

Below threads outline different approaches etc.
