Default Quick question regarding account ageing?

It's been ages since I set up an account.

Can I register an account and just let it sit there doing nothing for a few months without adding any bank details, paypal or doing the phone verification etc. Basically all I will add is a name and address for now.

Also is this looked upon as suspicious?

I used to do this but would do the phone verification at the same time and have 10-20 accounts ageing and ready to use, but as I haven't used ebay is a long time can't remember if you have to do the phone part right away or not.

Poor move.

Poor move.

Leaving an account inactive can set off ebay flags with the 1st activity.

I make my paypal 1st, have it ready to rock & roll, attach same to ebay & play.

Preferable to surf a little with the account & play being a happy ebay camper.
My 1st actions are never straight selling

I agree with GB, always do something with account, ie login, browse, bid on items you wont win, dont sell straight away

I've always wondered if browsing and bidding really lowers eBay's detection system, or if we are just being paranoid LOL. Almost like an eBay wives tale :-)

Thanks for the advice. Having a browse, bidding on a few things etc and just seeming like a normal user for a while all sounds very sensible. As does setting up Paypal first.

6 of my accounts have went down.

I made them set them up for selling didn't sell anything and asked for docs.

I submitted docs and they were restored not sure if I should risk selling on them, they got no holds and 25 allowances though lol.

If you didn't sell anything, I wonder what made them shut down and link all 6.

It's not a good move to just make an account and leave it sitting? Well simply because it's one of pay pal's limitations reasons..and we all know paypal is a ebay company..if an accounts created..does nothing..then all of a sudden starts making movements - selling, address, post, transfers..screams 'risk to pay pal's bot system..which smells limitations and browsing..you should at least periodically browse and sell a little on each account
