Best Products To Sell For Getting Higher Selling Limits...

It seems that the best way to increase your selling limits would be sell to the maximum allowance each month and let your selling limits increase organically.

In light of this I would like to share ideas on the best products to sell in order to sell to the maximum allowance.

I believe that the best product to sell for quick sales and feedback are ipad cases. I sold all my 25 allowance in the first month with ipad cases although I had to sell them considerably cheaper than others (at a loss).

Yes you sold at a loss but that's not an issue, you are investing in the account and your business

i'd rather sell to the limits and make a profit than sell to the limit and lose money. what a waste of time!

That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard derbydave. Business costs money, to do business you have to invest in whatever has to be done. We all need accounts with high limits and I see this as exactly that

It is possible to make even $1 profit and still be able to get feedback rather quickly. I don't see why this is implausible.

I have a feedback generating item where I actually can make up too $4 profit but for sake of actually selling quickly I usually aim for a $1 - $1.50 profit, I still make a small profit and still have the ability to sell fast.

Selling at a small loss is not always a bad thing. For example, the most that I would have lost getting my account up to 100 selling allowance per month would be around £20-£30. However, that loss is recovered quickly when the limits are increased and I am free to sell more items.

Short term loss for long term gain.

Any ideas on products guys/gals??

Screen protectors are also really good in my experience. Can turn a profit, all be it a very small one.

For me I like to build new accounts for the future. I dont ever lose money to gain money later so I sell products with a small profit margin, 100% sell through rate and seem to always get me feedback.

I have build 100s of accounts this way and they in a few short months turn into very good solid accounts for long term use.

LOl not many products getting dropped out here, I wish I knew some that were low cost used and sold steady so I could build up new accounts

Another user sent me a PM stating that sunglasses cases are good to sell.

I'm sure that we can agree the best type of items to sell are low value items that tend to sell quick. And generally with FREE P&P.

Guys, are you talking about actually buying those items in bulk and reselling it yourself, or drop-shipping? Just wandering how much effort people are ready to make to gain feedback...

You can always make your own low-end handcrafted items for fun...profit will depend on what you do but it is worth exploring

Do you do this? Because if you dont your idea is a tad impractical.

To make an item of suitable quality, even low end, takes hours & may cost more money that will be gained. Not ideal at all for ebay. A suspended user may not have the time and resources to put into creating baubles to sell.

Etsy is a different story.

When do you have time for this?

I owned a manufacturing business for many years and it was not easy work. Lots of steps.

No money to be made on ebay with handcrafted items, like GB etsy might work but it seems like etsy is moving more towards vintage collectibles then hand made.

That is why I asked you about quilts. I have been told many quilts are made in Canada. Hand made which would sell on etsy.

Of course this isnt key to my profit making on eB Sandy - I just toss some crap together and get the feedback from sales

I remember you asking about quilts - I havent had the interest to explore that market - my operations are quite low key as compared to big full-time sellers

I was told by an auctioneer many quilts come into the USA from Canada and end up in Amish country PA and being sold as real hand made Amish quilts.

So true - good reminder about the Amish - I never explored the quilt industry though.
