Actually, no. I like to use paypal off ebay.

Just small 'safe' transactions. Get up a bit of paypal history.

More than a good idea doing this.

I've submitted the docs...

from your experience how long does it usually take for it go through?

Still not had the doc's verified by PP. its been a few day's.

Is it normal for them to take a while?

I read in the thread by derbydave that he uploaded his and was verified in 5 minutes.. so it made me curious

Current wait on uk docs is around 6 days. If youve already reached your limit you get priority.

Time varies with each account. As you are finding out no hard or fast rules with PayPal/eBay

Ideally have access to the registered account address.

Alternatively, add a delivery address when you buy stuff that you DO have access to. Work addresses can be useful as can mail forwarding companies.

I just received this email from PayPal...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DDI Cancellation failed

We attempted to cancel our Direct Debit Instruction (DDI) from your bank account ending in 9486.

The transaction was declined during our processing.

Therefore, to protect your account, access your online banking and cancel the DDI yourself. You can also call or visit your bank to do so manually.

We look forward to continuing to offer you the number one way to send and receive money online.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does that mean the savings account failed?

Each user can have different luck. Normally - expect 3-7 days before requiring follow-up on your end.

Therein lies the problem - load up 5-10 quid on it and retry then...1 quid is NOT enough

If you faxed in the documents, did you get the confirmation notice?

It is getting on a bit for a response.

That said, I have actually waited 15 miserable days for paypal UK

Wait it out. I've just had docs take about 13 days to get reviewed.
