I very much doubt it was anything to do with the Halifax. What exactly does the limitation say and what are they asking for? Give as much info as possible.

Can someone confirm if you withdraw to an online saver that has returned the DD agreement, and the bank reverse the 'withdrawal' back to PP, will paypal then see your 'real name' froom ur online saver acc?

I don't think so but paypal will sometimes limit your account when it happens and call it suspicious activity

Tesco and Halifax were personally no good for me and thinkmoney worked better and was easy to setup online but they charge a monthly fee of £14.95

Shouldnt it go through instantly?

I know halifax current acc are ok for mismatched names, and ive read 'some posts" from users saying they have withdrew to halifax savers without problem, but was a while ago

Things may be changing??

Halifax is still fine for me. Never had any issues.

Sometimes payments can take upto 72 hours. That is all down to PayPal, not the bank

I assume the DD agreement got rejected for this?

So is it true that paypal know when an online saver is added rather than a current acc? And if so, how can they tell?

And is 72hrs withdrawal time a standard thing for savers only??

Also I understand that paypal know if your linked card is a VCC, so if you have only an online saver + vcc on ur PP won't this increase limitation risks

As paypal cant get moeny back from you if they needed to for refunds etc

All accounts have numbers that ID the type.

paypal can determine exactly what type of account is being used.

How? Savers ive seen have 8 digits same as a regular current account number

Also I have seen in paypal after adding a savers acc # and sort code it still says "current account" underneath it?

Yes direct debit was rejected.

72 hrs is normal for new paypal accounts, nothing to do with saver. Paypal sent the Money tonight at 10.39pm. It was in my account at 10.43pm.

I've never had anything other than 'instant' for bank withdrawals no matter how new the acc is...

Was your 72hr after the '21 days hold' also?

Ive had established accounts that often go to 72 hrs when paypal feel like it. Usually if lots of funds pass through.

I logged in 10 days after opening the account and was shocked to find available funds. Turns out all holds had been removed - probably due to good feedback.

The 21 days had already dropped to 15 after tracking was added.
