Lloyds should be avoided.

Halifax and Tesco are fine.

Halifax don't like mismatch of names and I have witnessed it twice where they have called in accounts

Think it is because the way you run your stealths with HALIFAX that has got you flagged by them, nothing to do with bad luck.

One of those accounts that you got flagged was of your son who was a minor when pp money was going in there, according to previous threads you made.

Absolutely no shock HALIFAX is watching you like a hawk.

Avoid Lloysd. Avoid TSB

Rest of the high street branches are fine.

any idea which savers are confirmed working with paypal? as well as being able to transfer money from the saver to a current account online?

JamesNorth101 12-06-2014 06:58 PM

Re: Halifax Online Saver Alternative ??

Pretty much every savers will be able to transfer money from the savings account to a current account on-line so long as they have on-line banking.

Basic and current accounts are better, but the same rules apply for savings accounts as they do for current and basic. Avoid Lloyds, avoid TSB. Rest of the high street is fine.

GreenBean 12-06-2014 07:28 PM

Re: Halifax Online Saver Alternative ??

Really more sensible with these changes to be looking at BASIC or CURRENT accounts.

Aim nowdays should be to reduce flagging paypal accounts wherever possible.

Just my .2p

when Halifax returned the monies to PayPal this was the nudge to limit my PayPal account so yes they don't swop information but they rely on actions on the bank and then proceed
with the limits as if they were talking to each other

I'm not sure it limited your account but yes, they're clamping down on mismatched names for sure

If LLoyds is no good for mismatch I am taking my 100K and moving it to the Co-op and opening 2 current accounts
or should I spread it over 3 different banks?

Steve',

:focus:

So now you are thinking of satander?

going for a basic account in your own name?

Are you aware that you have to be careful about burning up bank accounts with your recent history?

Do understand that more stuff ups will see your being excluded from getting accounts.

Please be very careful
