Default MC067, confused

Hello all

2nd stealth account, listed 1 item to test the water so to speak, very basic description, average joe selling an old item style. Got an mc067 saying description not detailed enough. Odd I thought but fair enough as it was basic. Relisted with full "pro" description, got mc067 again this time saying item resembles another item people have had bad buying experiences with and provided links to eBay couterfiet policy's etc ( items are not vero ) . Is this an odd way of saying you are linked or what?

Cheers from a disappointed jack

The good news is...this isn't because of linking. This is most likely eBay's system flagging your item for lack of info or b/c they feel it may be VeRO. Is it a high risk item or name brand?

Computer components that are never ⊗⊗⊗⊗d / copied as they are way too complicated to manufacture ! Is this definitely not a linking then ? How can they say previous bad experience when it's my first items !!

Thanks

Not your previous experience. The item you are listing has a history of being counterfeit

They mean buyers had bad experiences when other sellers tried to sell this item.

Do you ever recall those memory sticks that were swamping ebay UK about 4 years ago? They were being sold as badged 8g memory pieces of cr*p. In fact they were 2g or less.

Was a whole shed-load of sellers who lost accounts because of this fraud.
This is what ebay means.

Will this be a digital good? If so send me eBay link and then after I have paid for it and got it I can claim that it was not sent and get my money back.

You got it right, because Egyptian is not a language. If you qualify the statement to Egyptian Arabic, you are sailing high.

Are you putting the name of the computer component manufacturer in the title or so? Some of those names could be causing the system to flag your listing

Experiment with your listing OP and see what works if you are deadset on selling this item.

I would have gone with Latin, but because no one really knows how it was pronounced same applies. Both are fairly useless these days, although one does have a use if you discover something new and want to name it

Am now worried that the account might be fried but they just aren't saying it - does this ever happen ?

Put another one up at midnight, by 4am I had another Mc067 not detailed. Many many sellers selling the same items without problems!

Don't base your business on what other sellers can and cannot sell.

If you list an item and it gets taken down, do not keep re-listing it.

Ignore other sellers

Keep on relisting an item you are getting pulled and you will lose your account

Now here is another little nasty

eBay can go back to your completed listings and tell your buyers to file claims...even though you have been paid and have feedback....you then can go negative with PayPal

Stop doing silly things

Stick your item to one side, raid the front room and sell some of the wifes picture frames and vases. No point in selling something ebay doesnt like on a new account...

Maybe list it when you have 20 or so feedback and then see what happens, or if you value and want to keep the account dont bother listing it again!

At least until your well established anyway.

If its been taken down, then its more a case of waiting at least half a year before relisting the item as well as having lots of + feedback.

Personally though I would avoid selling that items on that account all together.

I have just got a "poor performance" status on my account this is due my lising which was not enough. This is never happened to me before. Since when they start monitoring listing if does contains full description or sth?

Can you also get linked with your own stealth account ? if I create simiar listing to the one I have on other accounts? does eBay collect such data?

Better to make the listings between accounts as different as possible to avoid such a risk.

Similar listings and photos can and have linked accounts in the past - you must look different in all ways possible
