Is it a must to provide free postage for all your listings?
I charge postage for all my listings and it is part of my profit.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
In my accounts, I already give free postage on anything, or else I will get bad feedback when I use to charge just under actual costs. I just try to mention something in the description boldly that postage is free to you, but not to me..
14 days returns
1 Day or same day dispatch
Express delivery option
Free postage option
£1000 min sales value over 12 months
Max 1 and 2 stars DSR 2 or 0.5%
Max unresolved sellers cases stars 2 or 0.3%
All this plus the unchanged current requirements must be met to be or retain TRS
Personally for me it works very well. Omi offer all that already, but now with the £1000 threshold its even easier to become trs. Just find a way to work it into your business plan. New fee structure is also coming into effect.
Since they are charging FVF on postage soon, why not just make postage free? Then add a special delivery option at high price to comply with next day delivery requirement
As of 20th August you will need to offer a free postage service as an option
So you could have
Second Class Post = Free
Royal Mail 24 Hour = £4
Or
Royal Mail 24 Hour = Free
Both of these would meet the new requirements
Basically there has to be both an express service and a free service, but they don't have to be the same option.
Of course you dont have to but it means your actual listing does not qualify for TRS status, so you can be a TRS yourself but your individual listings now have to qualify like James said above.
I pick my best ones for TRS, the others I'm not bothered about them having TRS on a listing level and keep them as a paid postage. Good for old redundant lines where you just want to finish the product off and end the line.
I still dont quite understand this. Only the listings with free postage option will show top rated badge on it? So if there is no free postage offered but you meet all the other criteria, are you still top rated, and will the badge show on your profile?
