Resolution case opened after the 45 days window?

Ok so we all know that the buyer has 45 days from daye of purchase to file and item not has described case. It happened to friend of mine recenty where someone managed to open a case after acually three months had passed he called ebay they realised it was an error and helped him bly closing he case,

Well today its gone and happened to me also item sale date was 17th july case opened "significanty not as described (its a bulb so no real warranty given in anycase" but case opened to day 20th of oct some 3 months after date of purchase!

Any one else getting this lately?

It is a new fact. Learn to live with it too.

A buyer may 'con' ebay into opening a case passed the due date.

how do they do this then? how do the bypass the 45 day rule?

Probably by phoning up and blubbing to customer services.

yeah but you dont get your funds locked, and based on my experience they cant escalate it . At least they never did .

I have 2 these cases open now, they are there for nearly a month so im assuming there is no option to escalate ^^

An agent at eB or pp can manually open a case after 45 days - it is true
