Just take a big sticker or sheet of paper and tape it to their window that says:

This post office will no longer accept parcels of any shape or form. Please take them to a proper post office.

Seen it done locally a few times when one of the post offices employees plays up and after a few days of them having to rip it down and place their own up saying they do.

If it is their own post office then they probably always have the right to refuse. But if it is a company one then you may be able to complain to the company.

But you're probably better off trying to find out the best time to take them if they have busy times and end up with queues out the door thanks to your girlfriend and your parcels.

What is the reason for the refusal?
I know my partner gets refused if he takes more than 20 parcels that are already paid for.

Please explain more?

If the post is already stamped with your own stamps from elsewhere and the post office isnt making any money then that might be a reason.

If you are paying for the post to be sent at the post office then it is crazy to turn away such business and if that was the owner behind the counter i'm sure they would have looked to make the situation work for everyone.

You can get a drop and go card - you leave the post with the post office and they can do it in their own time and they charge your pre-paid drop and go card.

Remember that every story has 2 sides....never can be sure what the gf said or ACTED...go in there neutral and solve it.

Postal workers often get abused too...

Complain to customer services.

Whether you've prepaid or not is irrelevant.

Then go in and tell them that you've complained.

Some of them think it's coming out of their wages.

I have a franking machine and the excuses I get from moronic postal staff defies belief sometimes. But complaining to customer services gets them a telling off, and makes them think twice next time they want to refuse parcels.

I was told last week that "the boss doesn't like you because you stand here for ages and it's all freebies"

I said the fact I buy upto £50 a week in lottery tickets is irrelevant, do my car tax there and passport forms etc.

The manager then came out, and I told him I will make sure I do my lottery somewhere else, and I'll make it my mission that I won't spend a penny in there anymore.

I have phone and complained at least 4 times for being told we not allowed to be served and all they do is say 'sorry ' on the phone and send some standard reply letter to your address and to this day the same thing keeps happening in that specific post office..

So complaining doesnt always work.

Tell me what time you are going.

I'll get the film crew there.

Can make BBC2 news.... disgruntled customer makes idiot of self in post office.

Have a quiet word with yourself, OK.

Find out from your beloved her side of the story. Time of day, amount of parcels, other customers there.

All the usual rubbish to make sure any complaint is warranted.

Post the update.

You not considered just printing out the labels and letting them collect them or use drop off points. A lot of the time it is cheaper.

If you are not doing enough to contract then parcel2go

Post offices don't legally have to accept to take your mail, they can refuse any business for any reason especially being that they are not only private but the branches are franchises.

If it was already paid for then they will feel like they are being taken advantage of as it should be dropped at a sorting office or directly into post box if small enough.

If it wasn't paid for then I don't think something is quite right. Someone is lying, item might not be correctly packaged, there was a address/labelling issue or something along those lines. If RM stopping taking ebay packages then they would definitely go back into the red.

Had a couple of post offices around here where the same thing has happened. It is more often than not, around here any ways, items that can't fit through the draw. and they have to keep walking over to the window. Some will just groan a lot as they do them but others will say not on your life take them some place else.

or it could be just a case of turning up at the wrong time and even post office's I have used and know to be good have said no chance come back later.

Used to be worse a few years ago when dole money was cashed there and you could not go to a post office in the morning. But then it was a friendly pleading.

If you have signed for mail then you have to take them into the post office and they are obliged to accept them.

Before I began to use prepaid I used to use a post office where they would ask me to let other people in the queue get served when my transaction was only half done and I would say "No, Ive had to wait my turn. These people can wait as well. They are no better than I am. Or shall I write to Royal Mail?" That shut them up.

Then I began to use printed postage to save time.

Now we use another main post office where they have a separate bay for business customers. My assistant says she loves walking past the regular line to go to that bay and all the dirty looks she gets. She also does all her own personal business at that counter after she has done my transaction. The staff are always polite to "business" customers and most of us use prepaid postage.

They dont even bother to weigh the parcels - just get her to hold them up to the glass and scan through it. Then she puts them in the hopper and they take them in. She never has to wait long because there is never more than one person at the "business" bay and most times its empty.
