Ebay Direct Debit

I am in the process of setting up a direct debit account with ebay to pay for my fees as I dont want to link my paypal account or use a credit card. My only worry is what name shall I use when filling in the details obviously cant use my real name. I know it does not make any difference when adding a card with paypal does the same apply when setting up direct debit with ebay? Does the name matter?

Your eBay and Paypal accounts will be linked anyway when you list something and put the Paypal email address on your listing...

So if and when your account goes down and eBay has access to your bank account they will automatically debit your account for any unpaid fees on the eBay account that you can not even use any longer.

Not a good move.

if that happens cancel the dd and close the account they wont be able to get the money that way.

If your ebay acc goes down, close your debit immediately. I think you only have a few days before they take it out of your debit after you get suspended. If it goes through you still have a chance of getting it back by filing a dispute with your bank saying that it's not authorized.
