Limits raised, is this normal?

I purchased a selling account from here 8 months ago and it had a limit of 100/3500 per month. My limits have never raised, but I followed the advice on this forum and sold to the limit every month.

Logged in this morning and received a message from ebay raising my limits to 500/28000

Is it normal to receive such a large jump in selling allowance? I was expecting it to go up by about 25 - 50 the first time
