I put the database in the c drive but when accessed from another user it comes up read only?

Are all the accounts you are using Admin accounts?

it says its locked by johnny so going to his account and checking the file properties form there

i went to johnny and opened file in excel and went to save as and clicked on tools and general options and saved over the old file and it worked great
