In your case there would be no need to get a second line installed.
You can have 1 ISP via your phone line and 1 ISP via your fiber options
You could also look into satellite broadband providers if you wanted a third |
I am with BT on fibre optic for almost 2 years. We only tend to analysis when things go wrong and this geolocation is making me paranoid.
For instance when I log into account A geolocation is my postcode, thereafter lets say spent 10 minutes in account A, and then change ip, user account and log into account B, I get the same geolocation and my postcode again!! Accounts A and B would be selling same items. Hence paranoia.
Now the techincal side not that I know much on this subject, I have a seperate bt box for my landline phone and for the internet, a seperate socket box is installed upstairs.
Last year at one point we had techincal issues with the line at exchange with fibre optics and I did try to revert the line with adsl, router to the landline socket but it didnt work.
So i think they have that one figured, that once you have fibre optics on seperate line, the other landline socket wont work for internet.
On the plus side of having a 2nd line I dont have to switch the kids off midway whilst gaming. Many times sit there like a pillak and wait for hours and feel bad doing that to them (their mates think I work in secret service for it going on and off constant)
