Alternative postal service to royalmail

Royal mail second class is £0.53 pence. Is there an alternative delivery service at cheaper price which delivery service does most £0.99 + free delivery sellers on ebay use.

They use Royal Mail, but probably have a franking account like I have.

2nd class is then £0.37 for a letter.

myhermes are cheaper for big parcels by a mile but small letters and large letters use royal mail
