Default Limited but no steps?!

So be of my PayPal account was limited yesterday but there are no steps to lift the limitation, as your all aware there are always a list of steps to complete (upload) etc.

I'm baffled and can't call them as its a female account and I'm male!

What did the email say? I've never seen a limitation without requirements to take steps on removing it.

Seen it before.
Usually means theres no option to appeal.
Id say call them up since you have nothing to lose at this point and ask them if theres anything you can do to appeal but to make things worse the account is on a female name.
Looks like a lost cause unfortunately...

I am a male with a female name. Never had an issue. Of course I speak with confidence hence, it is my real name and I have had it the past 34 years..

At thw present time, it is best to avoid calling in if you want to see funds again that you may have in there.
See posts by Callidus :-)

You'd be best not calling up. The account is gone. Calling up may result in a request for documents / info that you cannot provide.

You've been hit with the same limitation that hundreds of other accounts have been hit with in the last 7 weeks or so. The forum is flooded with such posts.

A few people have called. No one got their account reinstated. Some were asked to provide further documentation with the same end result.

If you call up and they ask for documentation that can't be provided then funds may never be released. Something to consider.

Hi

I got this email from PayPal yesterday as well. It said at the bottom this cannot be appealed.

I read on the PayPal website that if it is limited, they will hold the funds for up to 180 days, after which they will send an email and you can withdraw the funds to the account you had linked to the account.

Does anyone else have any experience of this and did they manage to get their funds back?

FYI, since 15 November, paypal UK has been hadning out paypal limitations with no means of appeal.

Plenty of threads about the topic.

PLEASE START TO READ THE FORUM on the topic.

There are certain procedures must be done with these limits.

We dont know as yet as to what will be asked of us since the recent rule change/update on paypal.
The advice is to not call in and sit tight till the members dealing with this know more and can inform us.

Please do not give this advice to UK users.

Your info is not going to work.

read posts by Ebayorbust, Callidus.

The risk of calling is getting the funds held permanently.
We are waiting for more info at this point.

Be careful of what you say as regards UK paypal.
