Default Any info / opinion would be great ! Business account

Hi Guys and Girls , hope all are well!

I have a bit of a headache trying to think what the best solution for my problem would be.

I had a great listing that started slowly but then with the more sold started to take off!!

Ran out yesterday :( as one of my non stealth accounts is not a business account.

So listed again and back to square one :(
I was wondering if I should turn it into a business account? the only thing is its a very old account and has no limits. and i hear that once you change to a business there is no going back.

So I have two good stealths very young but so far so good. I don't want to mess with them.

I was wondering if I should open a new buisnes stealth and start a good till canceled listing on it.

Sorry for the long post but I'm just very confused.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wrighty

I assume you meant the auction ran out of time and not that you ran out of stock?

I know on a personal account you can set it to automatically relist auctions but if that option is not good enough for you then you have no choice but to turn it to a business account so you can use good until cancelled options etc..

Apparently you can change it back from business to a personal account, if you contact ebay but it doesn't work every time.

Sounds like a potential hassle involving ID request, etc...

Seems like everything involving these two companies is a request for something

It is possible to revert to a personal account after becoming a business account, but you do need to talk to eBay to have them do it.

I went from personal to business last year on one of my real accounts and then after a while I decided/wanted to go back to personal. I contacted eBay many, many times and they refused to change my account back to personall because "I was selling too much" and they said the amount that I put through the account, it's more of a business not personal account.

Now I stay away from business account, for now at least. Might try it again in the future, but not anytime soon.

Yes they do need to see a justifiable reason to revert the account back, which generally does involve a reduction in sales volume. Personally I tend to prefer business accounts either way, I like their extra functionality

That's the thing... I actually wanted to reduce my sales anyway, because I was taking some time off and was doing some travelling, but because I'd gone hardcore couple of months before that, they said it just wasn't looking and feeling right- which I actually agree. I mean, I was selling way too much to have just a personal account.
They said the only way to revert it back to personal account, was to let it really have no sales for a while because then it would be justified.
3 weeks later I was suspended.
Moral of the story: Never contact eBay

That's SO true, people don't even know how true it is.

Let's put it into perspective:
I had my real account, selling real stuff without any problems for well over 3 years, then as I contacted them my seller defect % had gone over the 5% threshold and I believe it was 5.4%. After contacting them for a totally different issue, my account was banned within 3 weeks. I seriously doubt it was a coincidence.
My stealth account has had a 6% defect rate(Thanks Christmas, Thanks Hermes) for 4 months now and nothing has happened. Even my limits are still 100/3k

I will never, ever ever contact eBay for "advice" or assistance. It's easier to just do your own thing and be a little fish in the big pond, not call them and say that you are THE goldfish that people have been talking about for centuries.

If you feel the urge to contact eBay then fight it off for couple of minutes, go watch some nekked ladies for 10-15 minutes and if after that you STILL have the need to contact them, just know that you'll be shooting yourself in the foot.

Contacted eBay hundreds of times on stealth accounts, all accounts still live and never had any issues.

Contacting PayPal...well thats a whole different scenario and one I would definitely avoid

Not recommended to contact either service if person isn't wise to the sketchiness of the platforms...
