Why is my PP account access limited?
 

"Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):

17 Jul 2015: For reasons relating to the safe use of the PayPal Service we need some more information about some money you recently received or withdrew."

what step should I take next. could you please share your experience.

Phone call time if its not asking for any documents or what not.

Get your cover story straight, rehearse it before hand :)

You can email but I am guessing they expect a call.
Did you have a sketchy buyer or a much higher than usual dollar amount come in? Maybe a foreign payment?

Sometimes those are issues and my guess is that they attempted to call you before this limitation.

An email will likely get you nowhere. They'll ignore it cause the account is limited.
Your best bet is a call and like said above - rehearse your story before you call.

Thanks guys. I ll give them call next week. Is it ok if I call from my landline? can they track which no I am calling from or link with other account as last week I have called paypal for other acc to add bank details? it was one of my best eb acc but thats life.

Get another phone to call from. Some people report having luck with a number spoofer BUT I have not tried them myself.

Some of the mobile phone apps are good too. That is what I currently use for calling ebay or paypal.

Enter 141 before their number. This hides your number from PayPal

When you log into paypal on the first limitation screen does it say :

This limitation cannot be appealed against

May have to do with sending and receiving gift payments on paypal.

Yes its showing, This limitation cannot be appealed against. no haven't received any gift payment.done few refunds within short time,may be thats why but still not sure.

You can email them at europeanservices@paypal.com , no auto responses,wait one day and they reply immediately with any question asked,my account was limited and resolution center didnt showed any steps, so i emailed them after a day my account was restored and they claimed it was a glitch on their system.

This limitation cannot be appealed against

this is the whole different stuff, if this message appears, then the is only 5% chance you will be restored, i had 5 account limited with no appeal and there was no chance for restoring them.

I've had the same on 3 accounts over the last few days. All metrics are good, no linking, no issues apart from paypal saying its limited with no appeal rights.

Looks like there was a cull, one of mine went down as well.

Called up, same old palava, basically its full limitation, they are just wording it different. Once you ring, they will send you the 'EMAIL' in 24 hours saying that don't want to do business with you etc.

Mine wouldnt even allow refunds, so all those buyers will have to make disputes if the executive office dosent put the refund function on.

They could just be wording it different, periodically, so it dosent show up in Google searches as much. Just an idea.

I remember we had some culls last July..I think July and December are CULL time.

deffo cull time - lots of paypal stealth accs been executed at mo - to be fair its not ebay thats the problem - its paypal!!!!arseholes

It seems that some kind of a global purge has been initiated after the split. Had the same issue, account limited, no any info, no emails, called them 3 times already, sent in various docs, no any response.

well now I know why pp got limitations. called pp and saying pp linked with other account. both acc I got from here. the accounts I made by myself doing well. any ideas big boys?

Who are you using for your internet provider?

Do you have any flash programs installed?

Normally the accounts that are linked state this phrase in the limitation message.

IP is not a factor here as I use for AZ as well. both acc r in diff laptop,OS,Browser etc etc. even ebay and az didn't linked yet.

I just wanted to know if you are definately using a provider that makes the ip change.

Since you say its linking thats closed you both.

Amazon and ebay dont share info with eachother.

I know. what I mean I am using same IP for 1 az, 1 eb and pp. its only pp linked. Strange.

Do you own the other paypal that it is linked to? Is the other account owing paypal fees?

yes, both limited within 3-4 days not together. 2nd question ans is No.

Well that means you must of linked them through something you have done yourself if

a. you own the other one
b. they've also told you they're linked
c. it's within 3-4 days.

Have you been buying items between the ebay accounts to get feedback?

Im down on one as well as mentioned earlier. Same limitation.

Mine has two limitations apparently! Cant even send refunds. Lots of people waiting for their weekend orders, cant even give them their money back, pretty harsh.

All I got was 'I'am not going to tell you what we found out but you will never be able to use your PayPal account again' lol,

Australian muppet on the phone, bloody immigrants, coming over here, shutting our PayPals down..
