Restricted account for a business seller
Hi. I have been an E bay member for 8 years with 100% feedback, I have also now been a business seller since January, however I recently pjoned them to increase my selling limit as I was close to exceeding it, (bad idea to phone, which I now know!) but have now received this email which you will have all seen..
We need to confirm your identity and review your current business practices. To verify your account, please send us the following information:
- A copy of an official, government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport.
- A recent copy of a utility bill, bank statement, or credit card statement to verify your address.
- The most recent invoice showing proof that you purchased the items you're listing on eBay.
I have noticed they have not taken my listings off, they have just stopped me from amending them.
My question is, are they just asking for more information to verify my identity, or do they want details of my distributor to see if I am selling counterfeit items? (which I am not!)
I buy my goods from a distributor who sell official items refurbished by them, I don't think I have done anything wrong at all and have always gone by the book, but I am just asking for advise before sending all of the information that's all.
Any help here would be great.
Thanks
