Barclays and Saving Pots

Hi all,

Newbie here so please bear with me!

I have a Barclays current bank account that has several "savings pots" attached to it. Each of these saving pots has a different account number (although the sort code is obviously the same). I can name these Saving Pots anything I want.

The Current account is currently attached to a Paypal account that is still active and still in use (but I have NEVER withdrawn money from that Paypal account into any of the Savings Pots).

I guess my question is: if I attached one of the Savings Pots to a new Paypal account do you think it would still get linked? Or would Barclays get suspicious?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

(My credit rating is not great so I would prefer not to go through the hassle of trying to open a new bank account if possible)

You mean 'saving accounts'?

Yes you can use them, they come with different sort codes and account numbers, so no link would be made.

Shame Barclays stopped offering saving pots. But yeah, they fine to use.

Thank you both for your replies Although the sort code is the same the account numbers are totally different for each of the 6 savings pots I have attached to the current account so theres an option for 6 different Paypal accounts! Yes, I believe Barclays have stopped offering these accounts now (Ive had it a long time). Shame really.

Yes no need to worry about the same sort code.
