It is 600 over 3 years, (Jan 2010 - Jan 2013), not per year.

Some of the data therefore is 6 years old or more and outdated, and as JamesNorth states, lots has changed since then.

Thats three years old. There was also a Channel 4 documentary around the same time, but things have improved since as new measures were implemented since the reports.

Also, Parcel2go are not a 'courier' service, sending through Hermes on P2G or Hermes themselves is pretty much the same service.

I agree , Under 2kg RM is still king. DHL are the best, but most expensive. UPS come in a close second. I prefer to spend mor, less profit but have insurance and a good quality delivery service.

I believe Royal Mail total workforce to be in the region of 150,000?

So in that perspective 200 each year is nothing.

I can guarantee most big companies with any customer facing roles would love it if only 1 in every 750 staff was a thief.

Thx steve
I've got a few sacked in the last year lol. On 1 of the forums I sell on in the vendors section about 15 of us all post the postcodes that items get lost, if any keeps popping up someone reports to royal mail and the police. Do about 10,000 orders a week between us so not hard to get enough data.
There aren't any safe couriers unless you pay a ridiculous amount, they're all on crap money so too tempting to be a thieving rat
