Default Ebay fees overdue now asking for balance in full

Hi everyone

Problem with paying ebay fees.

I had a bill of 5K for one months fees. I paid bit by bit until the due date as I normally do but ended up being about £200 short so they applied to my bank for the balance. Not enough in the bank so I started paying again from my paypal balance. Got to next billing date (15th) and still had an overdue balance of approx £150. This has now been added to this months bill (over 5k) and now they want balance in full. I have since paid about £1000 of the total bill which means I have cleared last months and paid £850 off this months but im getting a warning message that if I don't pay the balance in full my account may be restricted.

What can I do about this? Obviously I don't have the full amount or I would have already paid it. How long will I have before being restricted or should I contact them?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Thanks for the quick reply.

Thats what I was hoping. Should be able to have it cleared in 5-7 days but will I be restricted before then?

This happened to me last month. They want the full payment INSTANTLY the next month bill is ready since you have an outstanding.

Now if the 2 months payment is not fully cleared to the last penny, they will restrict you from listing any further items and soon your good till cancelled will also be removed and any item that expired will be prevented from auto relist.

Although the second month payment is not due until 2 weeks after that invoice, My advise is to clear all outstanding before that time. I have never experimented beyond that limit. You can try it and share the result with us.

Peace!

when you receive your invoice, you usually have around 30 days (4-5 weeks) to pay it.

They will send saying something along the lines of your seller fees are overdue and that if you dont pay you could lose the ability to buy and sell.

If you receive the following months invoice, then you will need to pay both months before they restrict you.

You will get an 'account on hold' before they suspend your account, which will stop you from listing.

I have been on eBay for 3 years now and I've ALWAYS paid my invoices before the due date. How can you even keep the invoice unpaid without them dipping into your bank or Paypal automatically?!
Would be handy to know, as sometimes I pay a lot in fees just days before my supplier invoices are due. Would perhaps be useful in a sense that I could invest more into stock at one point and then cover the invoices few weeks down the road...

BUT, as I can see its a bit of a slippery slope.

2020 COVID-19 - the same ruleZ applies too
p.s haven't used their "pay by cheque" option though..Is it worth to extend 3-5 days before FULL LOCKDOWN, please? p.s 2 I'm on the edge of "hours/minutes" count..tick-tack..
