Default Asked to CONFIRM MY INFORMATION

Hi guys - all been well for awhile but when I logged into my PayPal account this morning I was asked to update my PHONE NUMBER. It is an accurate one?! They haven't called me so I just confirmed that it was the correct one.

I've had (prior buying Stealth) about 10 million PayPal accounts in the past but have never come across this one:

In the TO-DO list there was an option saying CONFIRM YOUR INFORMATION.
When I clicked it I was guided to a page that had all of my details (NAME, ADDRESS, DATE OF BIRTH). At the top of the page read the following:

To comply with the law, we must take steps to confirm your identity before removing your account limits. Please check and confirm that the following details are correct.

So I check them over and they all match the Stealth that I created (identical to eBay). I click SUBMIT and after around ten seconds of a page that states Please wait while PayPal confirms your identity I get a page saying SORRY. THERE WAS A TECHINCAL ERROR. PLEASE TRY LATER

I am just a little concerned that there is no TECHNICAL ERROR and PayPal have sussed me?! What can they use to CHECK MY IDENDITY?

Your help, as ever, is much appreciated.

Thanks

The paypal site also mucked up yesterday. Unless there has been a development since your post,Matty, I think this is a problem at their end.

no its just a new paypal account, i made, i added a bank account. Then i got limited, due to unusual activity, i didnt do anything, same thing happened to my other new paypal account.

But when i created them both i left them for a few days, and then when i went to add bank accounts 3 days later, i found both were limited.

So i now contacted paypal, they say its a corrupted cookie , lol

dont no whats wrong

never had it before, guess what i saw the link confirm by post/phone, i clicked on it, and then a technical error happened, so i went on it again, and now next to confirm by phone/post says unable to confirm. So now they are sending a letter to a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address.

So i tired adding a new address, but still they are sending it to the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ one, i cant remove any info as i am limited so some stupid reason.

Am trapped, any ideas please

Well if you make a new account that's another bank account to find. Have you spoken to paypal since they told you about the corrupt cookie?

well they asking to confirm the address, only by post, which they have sent the letter, but its not my address, also they want further information now, passport etc.

By the way the bank was for some reason removed, so i think it will be ok to start another one.

Am just worried about, someone getting that letter and thinking WTF, lol

thanks Greenbean

only solution if they are sending to address is to email them saying youve just moved..and give a real address, eg your own or someone you know but with slightly different postcode
theres a fair chance it will get to you.
