I am still using this method and it does work, you only need
to use a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ id address with ebay registration and say you
live in london use an appropriate geographical located number,
i,e 071,081 or your own gepgraphic location. Always use
⊗⊗⊗⊗ address for ebay registration but make sure it is does
exist ! So do not say 1 arse street, croydon, EB1 AY.

Use a proper address, locational phone number and you will
not get flagged, i haven't and am running 10+ accounts
no problems, fromthe moment i posted this original post.

I use a nokia N95 with the tone switched on vol 3 (loudest)

Most phones have personalised settings which allow you to
turn up yout tone handset settings, so just check the volume
setting is on max !

Any problems PM me, oh and please dont go spending money on
extra lines, etc !!

Then what can you do to lift paypal limited?? You use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address and Paypal asks you to provide the prove, photo id...and so on.

oompaloompa 10-17-2008 04:00 AM

geographical address UK

Ive just set up an e-bay account with an address and phone number, 80 miles from each other, ie 2 counties away, and I am up and selling on this account, so obviously they dont look at matching number and address in this case. paypal is a bit different though, it flags you if not close enogh to ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address, so make sure you use address very close to number used, or slip will go out to address, happened to me with said account, fortunately i has access to address

RichieL 11-16-2008 07:34 PM

Being the original author of this post i can tell you it still works
fine, just use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address virtual address that exists along with
same dialing code for your area.

Same goes with paypal, play as close to the truth as possible.

I had had no problems with either for over six months, any problems
for anyone just PM me and i will be more than happy to help

Hi guys sorry if this question is silly, but I live in a block of flats, can i use the address of another flat on the same block?

pward33 05-22-2009 10:44 AM

Just an update; I tried this just 5 minutes ago and it didn't work, despite my mobile having quite a loud tone. Is anyone else still having luck with this method? The VOIP methods sounds hit and miss - not to mention complicated for technophobes like me!!

oompaloompa 05-22-2009 10:56 AM

are you talking about the phonebox method? If so, nobody here has posted about it working here lately and I wouldnt bother with it. if you dont like voip just go for a number with Tamar or another virtual landline provider, hook it up to your landline phone. However i suggest your address is accessilbe, whatever method you use for phone eg voip etc, is liable to failure purely on closeness grounds.

pward33 05-22-2009 11:21 AM

Cheers oompaloompa. Yes, I was referring to the phonebox method. As for an accessible address, do you know if "mail accommodation" services (eg MBE) are OK, or does eBay have some kid of "blacklist" of these? It's just that I only really have access to my own home address and this is now linked to restricted accounts.

oompaloompa 05-22-2009 11:36 AM

yes, mail forwarders arent blacklisted as such from the start, but if you are found to have one on closer inspection eg a limitation, you could have problems, they may ask you for your real home address, well thats what happended to me, luckily I had a back-up address, however the account went for nearly a year before that occurred. eg they say send your bank account statement in and you put that address on it and they look it up and find its a mailbox, if using one call it flat 101 not box. The other thing is alot of other suspended users will use that address and although you have a different flat number, it doesnt take a genius to see its the downside to having one.

another not foolproof tip , if you are really stuck, different name but try your home address but throw off post code by one letter at the end and put 39a instead of 39 for door number, its the door and postcode that the bot would notice. Again downside is upon closer inspection it isnt the real postcode for that road. if by chance you have a long road which has many postcodes on it, try another one for that road. Just phrase your address so you know a letter would get to you , at a push.

pward33 05-22-2009 11:47 AM

That sounds like superb advice and is exactly what I will try. It sounds less risky than the mailbox method. Thanks a million for taking the trouble - these latest suspensions are driving me around the bend but thanks to the advice I've had on here lately I'm starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully it's not the lights of another oncomig train ...

This method is designed for UK. For US, use Vonage or Vumber to get a new numma.

Peace luv dope, up the pope :amen:

Hey guys,

Has anyone used this phone box method lately (i.e. month or 2)? ANd has it worked?

Are you having problems with it?

I've never tried it personally. I favour call forwarding services personally. They cost more but are far less risky and you don't need to drive around with laptop and mobile in tow.

SoulStorm 09-24-2009 08:14 PM

Great post. Very innovative and smart thinking. Thanks for sharing :)

NZT 10-11-2009 01:09 PM

Last I knew was Voip is still good for ebay but not for Paypal? Any updates?

biglouis999 10-12-2009 09:23 PM

BT also have something called "callsign" whereby you can have a second number on your existing landline. I have two completely different numbers and they produce different ringtones on my phone. So I know which numbers calling. I keep one entirely for business contacts so I only answer that with my business name.

paypalpains 12-22-2009 05:20 PM

Can anyone shed any light on the phone situation with paypal ?
Has anyone had any luck with any service from 01/12/09 onwards?
Phonebox option seems a bit hit and miss to be honest, i tried it and didnt work for me.
call forwarding doesnt seem to work either, paypal doesnt even recognise the number and doesnt even make a call.
So what if anything else is anyone using?

NZT 12-23-2009 05:46 AM

what about breaking into a house killing the occupants then registering with Paypal with the deceased persons address and phone number?

This should work. I will try on my Xmas day massacre and let you know how it goes.

paypalpains 12-23-2009 10:52 AM

thats helpful

Thats really helpful Neo, why not just stick to things in the realms of reality and that are plausable?
Making comments like that are just useless and show a lack of respect to others!

mantisinc 12-24-2009 12:27 PM

Doesn't Paypal/eBay now have a message that says public phone numbers will not be accepted, it must be a private number. Think I saw this message when one of my eBays was suspended, asking for me to update my phone number.

Hahaha. I agree. Neo's joke is dark humour. :thumb:

Right now I'd reckon that not many users have been making accounts.
Usually quiet at this time of year. News should filter in soon :peace:
