eBay UK - Managed Payments ? How will we stealth ?

Looks like to me they are letting banned people from back in the day back on now which is fantastic. Probably based on the accounts performance though and whether if you still pose a risk to them or not. AND the initial reason for your ban ufcourse.

Stealth name and docs. Have checked over everything and all seems to be ok, but it may be that I missed something - that or they simply didn't like my account. I am just concerned that they are somehow checking DL numbers etc against a database. I followed the same methodology as a prev account which works fine!

Not sure if it's been pointed out already but I read this paragraph in the managed payments terms conditions:-

"You authorize us and our Affiliates to check information you provide to us, including by verifying the existence of your bank account and obtaining reports from, or comparing your information to, third-party sources. Such third-party sources may include without limitation, banks, credit agencies, data brokers, and other service providers. We reserve the right to close, suspend, or limit your account or rescind your access to Managed Payments (in which case your account may be reverted to its original state without Managed Payments or, if this reversion is not possible, your ability to sell on eBay may be limited, suspended or terminated) in the event we are unable to obtain or verify any of this information. We are not responsible for any losses suffered by you as a result of incomplete or inaccurate information you provide."

So they do credit checks with third parties. And it's showed up on experian for me.

This is why stealth accounts are not passing the checks.

eBay has always done credit checks - its nothing new. There is a long thread talking about this all in details already (infact it may well be this very thread towards the middle, there are a few with similar titles though)

Its not the credit check that is causing the issues - its what being submitted to eBay that is then checked by Ayden that is the problem 95% of the time

Here is the answer why it allowed you to change the details.

If the eBay account is registered as LTD company with its Registration Number then change of the name on eBay account is allowed, because it is "account manager". The owner of the account is the LTD company.

That's the way how I am going to process most of my accounts -> create few LTD companies, link to each ebay account, change the name on ebay into real one.

I don't think so it will be different method of processing this except the Real Data (ID's / DL). It seems they are able to confirm if the document Exists in the Databases.

I will be using my real name and DOB but mailbox address will i pass credit check?

Currently all details on my stealth account are ⊗⊗⊗⊗.

I think they only accept your full home address on your account.

This cannot be a PO/office/workplace address.

They have no way of knowing if its a home address.

Plus its a business so nothing wrong with "Unit 6"

Or "51 Regent street"

Only thing is not my credit history at that address.

Natwest will change your address on statements without any proof of address.

Mailbox no longer have address's which stand out as mailbox address they now have full home like address plus they let you choose address format.

I now have two accounts on Managed Payments and I can say with certainty that the address you give them does not matter - the address does not have to exist.

Have you had any fail. I have had 2 pass very easily but the third was banned 10 days after submitting docs. I assume you aren’t passing without sending docs

The 2 that you passed what did you do differently to the one that failed ?

I had one business account pass with my real name DOB and address. And real bank statement.

I want to do the next one with my real name and dob but a different address in the hopes they are not linked should it fail.

A real name with real DOB is unique to you it's a 1 in a million chance it's you.

So if you made 2 accounts with real name and real DOB they are already linked.

I prefer to use a real address for now so can submit documents if needed.

I received email saying mine will go live 18th Jan so I have not bothered yet.

Have you gone 1 month without getting suspended? I'd say 1 month and you succeeded.

With the business account that has passed with your real details, has this been linked and banned in the past or has this always been a clean account?
