Default stealth MP question

Let's say for arguments sake we get a full on stealth account accepted for MP, does this mean the bank transfers will go through to a bank with a totally different name? Or we won't know the answer for sure until next month?

And only the 6 main uk banks currently use ‘confirmation of payee’. If either parties bank is not one of those 6 (or a subsidiary of) then the name on the account cannot be checked.

Which could be why PayPal still works with mis-matched names.... because their bank isn’t one of those 6 (or they choose to bypass the check due to the extra workload)

I guess we could hope they choose to ignore as they have already 'verified' us?

Apparently this hasn't happened on PayPal though since COP began to be used, so the thinking could be that company payments are different to personal etc.
I can 100% confirm this hasn’t happened on PayPal, I’ve attracted new banks to new PayPal they’ve worked fine without issue

About MP I’m not sure but it doesn’t look doom and gloom from that side imo

If they are using COP it may flash up as mismatching if

1 - Whoever eBay use to disburse payments its enrolled on COP
2 - Which ever bank account a user is using to receive payments is enrolled into COP

Even then eBay may well not have an issue with it. We have to wait a a couple of weeks to find out for sure.

james_112233, made a valid suggestion regarding signing up for MP, would this would work long term or at all.

Keep the names/address on the account stealth and when you sign up for MP via the eBay portal put in your legit name and address that matches the bank ?

I am using Lloyd's as we speak on my stealth Paypal and so far so good with the regards to mismatched names.

Just need to use a bit of common sense to work out if that is a good long term plan or not for lots of accounts

They would just link all your accounts together if you tried using the same details over and over again

Most definitely, by all means what I have suggested is no way to truly stealth on ebay.

But then I don't burn through accounts.

I only ever wanted a bunch of stable accounts to last with my current business venture and I appear to have done that successfully but now I have to get through this MP hurdle which may trip me up and get me banned once detected.

For those that truly want to stealth my advice isn't it. Wait for others to find workarounds.

The workarounds have already been found. There is no need to change names and addresses on stealth accounts.
