How exactly do they perform a soft credit check?

I've heard it is only Adyen that perform the credit checks. Do ebay perform the checks too?

Re: The MP Exodus

Can anybody that has converted a 100% legit account to MP confirm whether there have been any searches carried out against them on their credit report?

If not, I cannot see how this issue is caused by a soft credit check as surely it would be listed on the credit report?

It’s not hard, financial institutes have access to facilities to do soft credit checks just like any credit provider the question is, is this what’s killing the accounts? The only way to find out it by is by testing.

If you are submitting doctored IDs to management payments do they have the means of checking it in any way or does someone just take a look at it and if its look ok they pass it?

the way to go is to submit EU ID cards as a means of identity documents.

many eu residents in the UK including myself did not have a credit score for months so it would be reasonable to fail the soft credit check as one.

if you submit an UK passport but there is 0 history about you in the UK its a pretty telltale sign you are high risk.

Assuming it has anything to do with a credit check which it may well not do. Just time to play around a little and see what works.

I do not recall using any other Adyen product that would result in this,I have to assume this is eBay's processor checking on me.

Do let me know if you think otherwise or if you have other information regarding this.

Yep eBay have done those same checks for many many years - that may not be the only factor though as accounts never used to get limited when failing them. Its all still very new right now

They shouldn't. Have you got a current account? If so, you may have been checked when opening it unless it is a basic current account.

Check your credit file with experian. You could also apply for a credit card and this will add to your file. You don't need to use the card, just cut it up after you get it, but it will improve your rating if you do use it and pay the balance off every month.

I think its the basic current account. I've never used experia or any sort of credit check sites. Hopefully they don't flag me but i'm not confident

May I ask when you submitted your MP switch request?
