 Managed Payments and Transferwise(Wise) on eBay.co.uk
Hey everyone.
I have a 3 year old eBay account, that I created in ebay.CO.UK with my real name and date of birth. Not UK based, so the address I used is somewhat random. Have sold lots of stuff without any issues and no extra verification needed.
Now after eBay forced us to migrate to MP, I'm not able to add an UK bank account, cause I don't have one. The alternative I was thinking of, was using Wise (former Transferwise), open a balance in GBP to get all the UK bank account details (sort code and acc number) and use that during MP registration. The name of the Transferwise account would match my eBay name of course. I just don't know how exactly does eBay.co.uk verify everything - do I need to upload my national ID at some point, what would they do if they see it's not an UK one and can this lead to an account suspension, cause that's what I'm mainly worried about.
