Good question - keen to hear opinions on this one too. Guess will just have to test and see results

Priority list, what a disgrace. How about stop playing games of hierarchy and process all of the pool? These transactions haven't vanished, they are still in the pool as pending, release them and be done with it.

If that is right, then us non-priority people will be waiting more day(s) for our cash.

Just made another withdrawal from my balance in the hope it would release instantly to make-up for the stuck one, but what a surprise... held for 72 hours.

Are you sure its 72 hours PayPal or did you mean 72 days?

Wondering if this has been done on purpose - they usually do the rounds at this time of year to hold as many accounts for 180 days. Unable to withdraw is obviously building up funds in the accounts which just can't be risked on stealth accounts anymore!

I made an additional withdrawal last night and got a '12 hour wait' message and have just recieved the deposit now, even though I am still waiting for ones I did over 6 days ago.

So hopefully the theory of building up funds and limiting accounts is just that, a theory.

Getting anxious....

I made a direct dig at PayPal on their forum and people are also complaining, so it isn't just us who use stealth accounts.

They would not do something like this for the intention of catching out people, it puts themselves into an unnecessary predicament with innocent customers. They have the tools and resources, mostly automated, to perform sweeps of accounts for limitations.

I think I have set off the firework... since I made an essay dig at them, others have come forward on their community site and made complaints in anger. Too right, they are in the wrong fully for this. Some have been waiting 7 days over there, absolutely ludicrous.

My UK clients are having the same issue.

I think it's a UK wide thing that's happening.

I cannot confirm whether this is true or not, but someone on the community forum has posted a chat log with PayPal about the issue and apparently, there is an option to chat with them but it is freelance and only appears randomly with the other options.

I am yet to see the option, so I can't confirm if he is BS'ing or not, but it will make me feel better if I have someone to vent my anger on. I owed that money to a family member for a meal we recently had and they think I am making excuses, so I am extra annoyed right now at PayPal for letting us down like this so unexpectedly and without site announcement or warning.

Shame there's not an alternative way to pay people. Imagine if we had a thing called 'cash' or even 'bank accounts' where out cash is stored safely... Imagine the possibilities.

Or maybe your business income pays your expenses and you withdraw it to your bank account, with the reasonable expectation of you having it within the 72 hours outlined in their policy...

Why are you trying to be clever? Do you take their side on this or something? There are a lot of people affected by this and it has seriously impacted certain individuals, over on the normal PayPal forum, which are non-stealth, I am looking at posts with people in the same or similar predicament with not having access to their cash.

I would never put money from my bank into PayPal for safekeeping, I only ever move cash from PayPal to my bank.

I was just making a joke (with a hint of truth in it) about you not paying your family member. Don't take it so personally

It starts the processing of putting the money into your accout the minute 72 hrs hit. At that moment, it could take 1 business days, or even longer, if the process starts on a Friday. So if it's 75 hrs later on a Friday, you might not see it till Monday.

There’s been an ongoing issue affecting withdrawals over the last few days so it’s a bit different to what you’re explaining. And from my experience 72 means 72 hours even if it’s a weekend, when PayPal is working correctly anyway.

Just logged into my paypal and see the withdrawal is 'Refused' with a line striking out the amount I tried to withdraw. Unsure of when this would've happened as I've not got any emails. Sometime between now and me last checking around midday yesterday though.

Made another withdrawal just now after seeing that for a larger amount and have the 24 hour review just so should be fine hopefully.

So the withdrawals have been reversed and added back to balance of PayPal, so I'm guessing I can just withdraw this now.

I have had the same problem, waited over 90 hours, and then both withdrawals were refused and added back to my available balance.

Have not tried to withdraw again.

I am having the same issue on US paypal, but in the past it has always cleared up without issue. I am having this issue on 4 withdraws right now. Some are 72 hour and some are 12 hour. I would just wait, be patient, and not call in. Stirring up the pot too much might cause issues.

They couldn’t make things any worse - absolute joke of the century! Waited over 6 days only to have funds cancelled and added back to balance. Fuming right now!!!
