Default Fully verified & confirmed but still have limits?

I have done everything required to lift all limits on a stealth Paypal account but it still shows I have a receiving limit of £1700??

Bank account added & verified, debit card added and confirmed, provided additional information & confirmed my information by phone successfully.

In other words, I click on "lift limits". The only one that is there is the receiving one. I select that and click "Lift Limit". It then jumps to the "verification" page. All the items on the list have a green tick beside them but there is no "confirm" button - just a "cancel" button.

I had a similar problem with my "normal" Paypal account and had to contact Paypal to get it sorted - some sort of technical problem.

Is it safe to contact Paypal about this as I don't want too much attention on my account or should I wait a couple of days? I am contactable on my given phone number so that isn't a problem.

Anyone else experienced this?

That is the anti money laundering limit applicable to all accounts. You should get an email at some point alerting you that you are approaching it and asking for docs to further verify your identity.

No money gone through it at all yet. Created the account a few weeks ago. I have completed all the tasks to be verified and have all limits lifted but the receiving one is still showing. Will this be removed automatically once the account is up and running?

Most likely a technical problem, give them a call.

When you call, be aware of the identity and your phone#.

CaptainJack

So, how on earth is it possible to have a working fully stealth paypal account?

Part of PM sent to GreenBean:

Quote:
Just so, so frustrated with Gaypal -- can't lift any limits on my stealth accounts due to ⊗⊗⊗⊗ addresses: they are now using public databases to match phone numbers with addresses. A year ago, I could get away with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info. Now, I can't at all. It seems you have to match the phone number area code with the address quite accurately, otherwise you fail the test and get the 'technical problem' error.

Quote:

Unfortunately, you did not pass the Confirm Location by Phone process for the following reason:

Using publicly available databases, we were unable to match your address to the phone number you selected.

I think, for UK users at least, it is now apparent that any random ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address just won't cut it. The hard part is, getting an address within the same phone area code which you can control.

I will post this observation in the forums too, maybe it will help somebody out.

Lesson: phone number must be in same area code, address must not be ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or different from phone geographic region. The region in question is becoming all the more specific, for example , if your address listed (Real I hope) is in the 01556 region, and your virtual office is 01555 , this will not do. Combine this with IP address and you are going to come into some problems, because your IP address must be within that strict geographic region too. For example I was thinking of getting a virtual office in the north of england since they are cheaper, and of course it would be easy to get a voip phone number to match, however my IP address is way off = no go, even if I use my dongle.

I'm not sure anyone can be suspended by IP alone, but if there are discrepancies then it would surely raise flags and put your account under greater scrutiny, with this robot 'points' system that eGay have got going on. And that raises an alarm thus defeating the whole object of stealth.

In short, word of warning to UK users: they have gotten a whole lot stricter. I wouldn't be surprised if they ARE looking on paid databases such as credit checks etc. , or if not at the moment it would come in the future. They surely have the resources to do so, and surely they would have clocked this forum and responded accordingly to the sneaky methods used by its members. :(
