So I recently received 170 GBP as friends and family on 25/08.

Can't reach who made the transaction of course anymore!

So I received this ...

I didn't provide any information or respond to the case by the way.

Not much to discuss without more info - did you send out anything for this payment?

Yes I sent him crypto for it.

this is most likely fraud , friends/family can not be claimed back as non-receipt or not as described so they used unauthorized transaction or indeed used stolen funds

if your paypal does not have any balance you can just refuse to pay but the account would be lost

Just have to wait for a decision now - if your account is blemish-free and not brand new, you might pass but it's all in PP's hands now
