The address used problem

I have read that people are tweaking their address, and checking that it gets through by mailing a letter but does ebay and paypal not have the address register thing so if you add a false address then it is rejected?

I have a great address for making changes to that seems to get through next day no problem, as I have tried different tweaks but if I put them into ebay or paypal would they not know they are not real address'?

Totally puzzled on the address thing.

If it does not match will it just be a case of paypal or ebay sending a letter to the address the same as google do for their ID thing?

Sorry we suffer from a lot of direct to ebay returns, as it is what competitors use to shut down our accounts. So this time I want a dozen accounts open so I can just move on to a knew one or stay under their radar.

Thanks for any help

a tweaked address is a risk, but is known to work for some forum members, as you say, a manual check will discover this, put it this way you know your area and what post gets to you even if incorrectly addressed, its a personal thing. It must not be a way off gobbledygook address, but eg. your road has 2 postcodes cos its a long road, well the letter would get to you, but youve instantly changed address etc etc...

Thanks for the response

But the risk your talking about is that it brings in a person, and if what I gather is correct, that is not what anyone wants?

I am now wondering if I should just find a good address forwarding company that will not strangle me with red tape or costs and if possible, will not be too bothered about having more than one address and using names that relate to the accounts I set up. Anyone out there have any good ones that work and fit the bill in the UK and how local do they have to be to my own address?

I monitored my IP location and it showed me as being everywhere from Edinburgh to Lincoln, as BT just seem to dump you onto any IP.

Then under those circumstances you would not consider 'tweaking' an address associated with a suspended account. You mentioned your next option about getting a mail forwarding etc etc. What you might do, is speak to one B4 you commit to using them. Tell them you have several businesses running ( different names;)) & how could they assist you?

Your IP is not a problem with the pyhiscal distance from your actual address. On one UK account my IP is well south of its actual Northern location  Boils down to consistency of the IP number range.... :juggle:

its only a good idea to use this method for under radar, small accounts.

test a range of ip location sites, they can vary wildly

Yeah that was the idea. Rather than having one account selling all our goods, which is too easy a target by competitors. I was intending splitting the number of listings between several accounts, make them all look different and less of a threat to them.

I will try contacting a few and see what they can offer.

Thanks again
