Default Lifting Limits

Hi Guys,

I am needing to lift my receiving limits with paypal, and the only option left for me is to upload or fax documents !!

Proof of ID and Proof of address

Now am i right in saying, the address proof will need to show exactly the same details as the paypal account, as i have changed / edited my address when i signed up so i need to do the same with the documents right?

Real house number was 5 (changed to 55) and my road name is Korby but changed to Korbey and postcode is totally different but within the area.

Will this work if it all matches up as upto now ive had no problems with paypal :D apart from a hold on some money until people leave feedback due to being a new seller etc.

Please help guys

thanks

ok I hope these are not real details you posted, if so hit edit button!
you say the postcode does not match road name? well a manual check on that is not going to be ideal then, address must be a correct one.

postcode does match road name no? I take it i will need to match the postcode to the road name even if the road name is slightly spelt different?

Althought just checked address and it says home confirmed

We've confirmed delivery to this address and it's a valid delivery address.

Sadly I don't know the uk system as well as North Am. Seems like a lot of changes in your address - number, street and postal code is quite a bit. But if pp says home confirmed that it should not be a problem - everything should match in terms of documentation.

well the post code is in the vicinity of the area and yes it says confirmed.

So if i match the documents upto the address i registered with it should be fine?

When i upload, do they check closely etc

"Should" be fine - but YES documents must match. Expect them to check closely - always expect the worst from pp.

I read your first post as saying you were changing the spelling of your road and adding a postcode that was from the area but did not match the road. You can do this but all i am saying is on a manual check the road will not match postcode. if I read it wrong them thats fine.

its showing as confirmed, thats different, have you had a bought item sent there? yes I mean a letter would get to it, due to postmans ingenuity, That has nothing to do with lifting limits.

right so I did read correctly, road name does not match postcode. different spelling of road is not the issue. the bots pick up banned address via door number and postcode combo initially. After that any manual review will notice a road and postcode that dont match up. I am not saying that a road name with nearby postcode does not work, it can. I have an account that is longstanding that has this, an experiment that has worked up to date anyway.... I am just trying to clarify the issues here, ie the spelling of korbey/corbey is irrelevant.

i would suggest adding the address with the correct post code then remove the address with the wrong one and see what that does.

has lifed the limits for me before without submitting doc's

Yes it would - think very carefully here - this above all else shows why it is so important to get your info right before registering a ste alth account. It isn't just a case of any old info. 'The Boys' are getting cuter and so must we.

You may find you lose this account - your decision has to be whether you risk asetts or not.

You may want to consider buying a new set of accounts and starting again - it could be cheaper in the long run

Sorry I cannot be more positive

Listen to GT when she speaks.

It is touch and go when doing things like this to a new PayPal, any change you make with PayPal will stay on file, if viewed against other activity on your account then it may just add to that 'risk factor'.

Ok, well ive been in contact with a seller on here about a new paypal account, so thats a start.

Secondly, Ive currently got about £700 residing in the paypal account so i think ill withdraw all that first before i start sending them information, but as said.....

Is my best bet just to edit the address on my bills etc to match that on file..... if it gets accepted then great, if not then learn from my mistakes ? :-)

like i said previous, the address is stated as (home confirmed) within paypal, so maybe if they get the docs, just match to address on file then that could be it, who knows eh
