Default Paypal Dispute

I have ordered a item online and sent the payment on 22-Jul-11 and now I still haven't received it, I contacted the seller about it and he said he checked the tracking number and it says that it has delivered to my address already but I haven't received it, it had a signature signed as well but I didn't sign it, now it's 11-Sep-11 and I still haven't received it so I went on Paypal and dispute but few minutes later, it said This dispute closed because it was opened for more than 45 days after the transaction date or did not meet other filing criteria.

The dispute must be opened within 45 days. Nothing you can do about it now.

I have always keep in touch to the seller but he said that it is delivered and it was stolen and stuff like that, so pretty much nothing I can do?

There's your answer....

The seller is saying it was delivered, so not his problem. Paypal don't want to know because it is over 45 days ago.

Best to forget about it and move on.

Why dont you get together with the seller and put in a claim with the delivery company, there ought to be some compensation you can claim.
