Default Why can't I use my bank account for payments!

Hi,

I've had 3 accounts now, and I always seem to have issues trying to use the Instant Payment service,

I just confirmed a new bank account and just tried to process a payment for 99p and it would only allow me to use my debit card.

I'm puzzled as it said that I could use it when I confirmed my account, but maybe that's just a message they show everyone.

Is this stealth account and is the card one attached to your Bank account in your real name ?

More important than not been able to use the card is that fact you may have just shot yourself in the foot and killed your PP account.

My initial thought is that the name, house number or postcode don't match up.

Don't some card or places have a minimum charge amount

As TizWoz asked - is this a stealth account with different details to the bank account?

So the bank account/card is in stealth details ?

over what space of time have you had 3 accounts and do you know why they was limited .

The way you are explaining things it really sounds as if your tripping yourself up.

3 current accounts, none of my accounts are limited, I just can't use the Instant payment service, I read on this forum that it can be based on a trust rating of the account?.

Strange, I was thinking of buying a PS3 games console for 235 quid, and the Instant Bank Transfer was the only method of paying, and then I brought a magazine for 8.95 and I had to use my debit card. What is going on?.

are you sure that the transaction can be funded by instant transfer?
What currency is it?

Not sure what you mean by real bank details matching stealth details?

Which bank?

And since I'm asking 64 questions, how's the weather?

Your info is too vague to answer well. Try again for us,please>

when you have funds in your account it will take from pp if not enough balance it will take instant bank transfer, if not enough it will take from card.

If PP try and take from your bank it is usually because the bank refused the transaction that it is declined.

even if funds are not in the bank, (depending on the bank) most of the time still go through because the bank makes 15-20 pound in fee's for unauthorised over draft.

You should be able to find out about a week after it failed, why it failed.
