Default Halifax Saver Quick Removal Question

Hi

Just a quick one, does anyone know if the method of adding a saver account to paypal and quickly removing it after you have the 2 deposits still works?

Im goin to do it asap if it does.

I've done the transfer would you know grannyt what the minimum time I can take a is until I re enter the bank for withdrawal?

I don't want the direct debit to mess it up.

Only add it when you are ready to withdraw.

Click withdraw, then click add bank. Do it this way and you will not be asked to complete DD mandate again.

Can't find any mention of this so I will post this info here:

This has recently happened to me on my recent Halifax saver accounts. When PayPal were notified that the mandate got rejected, they let me know it failed but they never removed the bank account. They only disabled the bank payment methods (Withdraw money from bank, Instant Bank Transfer & eCheque) but they still allowed me to transfer money from the PayPal account to the bank. This has happened to me 4 times on 4 different stealth accounts.

So there is no need to ever remove the saver account after you have verified it now.
