Default website PP processing....i don't need ebay...

Legends....Quick question - i've set up a website and am going to use pp as the main payment portal. I've got a new stealth account and no ebay account with it yet.

If i'm only interested in selling on the site is there any benefit from adding an ebay account. Or can i just keep it business-like and give pp all my stealth details and docs and just use it for the site?

What do you reckon? I don't see how adding an ebay account is necessary in this case...as there are loads of businesses that use pp but don't sell on ebay. Thoughts?

Concentrate on building the website.

Make a good 'name' for yourself.

Later, if you decide to diversify , you could add ebay.

For me, nuturing the new website would be of more benefit

Leave EB off if you are not planning on using it.

There is anecdotal evidence that operators who do as you are and then add EB accounts at a later date enjoy stronger accounts - of course it depends if you are selling high risk items - they are always, as it says, high risk

one more quick question - I assume the usual stealth applies to just the website. E.g the IP address of my server at the datacentre is static...unless i ask them to change it. Thus never add another pp account to the site once the site's ip has been linked with one account.

I would avoid pp - or maybe take on a service that will accept pp.

Why on earth would you ask that question, you only have to read the first line of the first post to know they have just set up the website.

thats good

was going to say that using "another" PP on a domain that had had a previous banned PP would get toasted rather quickly from experience

What products or service will you be selling.

I have 100's of websites and spent hours on the phone with PP going over my sites.

They can be very fussy with Language, niche, digital products, etc...

Build you business in its own right, build the website and work hard as hell, try get a real merchant account for taking payment, i find websites different to eby, people are more willing to pay by card or use other gateways.

Never give up selling on eby, its a real good income stream, the more money you make here can only help build your business and make your website stronger, its also a good source of customers for your website, you can put website marketing material in the package you sell with a little incentive to visit your website, if the website looks right and the price is right they will buy.

Good luck pal.
